- Focus on your friends and family, not the food. Slow down and catch up, play games and more. Don’t just concentrate on the meals.
- It’s a party, but that doesn’t mean you should rush into it. Make sure to enjoy the moment and resist the urge to go back for seconds.
- Don’t skip meals or stray from your normal schedule, which can spike your blood sugar.
- Bring something you love. Worried that a hostess won’t be making your favorite part of a meal? Bring it yourself. That way you can control the amount of sugar and make sure that you’re satisfied. Who knows, you might start a tradition.
