Do you watch Ruby on the Style Network (sister of E)? I have watched this show for years. I love Ruby. She is outgoing, funny, quirky and has a lot of funny friends. But more so it is interesting watching her story unfold. Ruby was once over 700 pounds and she lost a lot of the weight without surgery. However, the struggle to lose the rest has warranted this TV show.
Bridalplasty- PLEASE BOYCOTT

There is a new show coming out called Bridalplasty, I don’t know the network because I am so disgusted I just started blogging about it. The premise of the show is 12 brides to be come on and compete to win the plastic surgery of their dreams in time for their wedding. Yup, you heard it right. 12 women are now competing to get fixed surgically.

Considering the massive amount of media that we encounter on a daily basis one must wonder to what extent it influences our opinions and behaviors. Because most media relies on advertising dollars to remain financially viable, we are regularly bombarded with imagery and messaging that is specifically designed to stimulate a response.
